Australia has taken a major step in advancing clean mobility with the launch of the Hydrogen Transport Forum (HTF), formed by automotive leaders BMW, Hyundai, and Toyota. Announced in May 2025, the HTF aims to coordinate deployment of hydrogen-powered vehicles and supporting infrastructure across the country—targeting fleets, trucks, buses for seamless hydrogen transition. This industry collaboration focuses on identifying key zones for infrastructure rollout, sharing deployment data, and advocating for government support to match real-world transit needs. This initiative marks a shift from hydrogen being a speculative concept to becoming a practical and coordinated transport solution.
